Testimonials - Arthritis & Ankle Pain

I am so glad that I found Dr. Andrea Armstrong. I have suffered with pain for years. I have had neck and shoulder pain for over forty years and her adjustments have made it almost pain free. Five years ago I broke my ankle. My orthopedic doctor told me that the swelling would never go away. My back has been extremely painful for the last two years due to my altered gate from the ankle fracture.

I went through two rounds of physical therapy and was told I have arthritis in my L4 and L5. I still experienced extreme pain even on pain meds and was told I needed steroid injections. I could not sweep, stand or sit for long peroids without severe pain. My stomach is very sensitive and I can not take anti-inflammatory drugs.

Finally I went online to check for a chiropractor with my insurance.

There was Dr. Armstrong. After just a few weeks my neck and shoulder pain is greatly reduced, my back rarely hurts and the swelling in my ankle is gone. I never thought it would this easy to become pain free.

Thank you Dr. Armstrong, I am so glad you became a chiropractor.

The Cervical Spine

The area between your C3 and C7 Spine is know as your cervical spine. These seven vertebrae contain numberous nerves passing through and when a subluxation occurs in this area many parts of your body may be effected, such as the neck muscles, the shoulder, as well as the arms and hands.  Typically problems such as neck pain, arm pain, numbness, stiff neck, bursitis, as well as many other musculoskeletal problems are possible.

Nerves originating in this area of the spine innervate your throat, sinuses, nose, thyroid gland, lymph nodes, diaphragm, and other organs.  When subluxation is involved in your cervical spine a variety of functional problems can result.

It is imperative for the organs, systems, muscles, joints and all other tissues in these areas to receive proper nerve signals in order for them to function as they are intended.  Subluxation reduces your function thus allowing the areas supplied by the nerves to be working at less than their optimal ability.

A subluxation in your cervical spine can also have an effect on other segments of the spine and creating imbalances, postural problems, and functional problems throughout your body.
