Testimonials - Arthritis & Ankle Pain

I am so glad that I found Dr. Andrea Armstrong. I have suffered with pain for years. I have had neck and shoulder pain for over forty years and her adjustments have made it almost pain free. Five years ago I broke my ankle. My orthopedic doctor told me that the swelling would never go away. My back has been extremely painful for the last two years due to my altered gate from the ankle fracture.

I went through two rounds of physical therapy and was told I have arthritis in my L4 and L5. I still experienced extreme pain even on pain meds and was told I needed steroid injections. I could not sweep, stand or sit for long peroids without severe pain. My stomach is very sensitive and I can not take anti-inflammatory drugs.

Finally I went online to check for a chiropractor with my insurance.

There was Dr. Armstrong. After just a few weeks my neck and shoulder pain is greatly reduced, my back rarely hurts and the swelling in my ankle is gone. I never thought it would this easy to become pain free.

Arthritis 

Arthritis consists of more than 100 different conditions. These can range from tendonitis or bursitis to crippling conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, so those who believe arthritis is a condition reserved for senior citizens may want to think twice!

There are more than 100 different joints connecting the body's 206 bones. Between the bones, is a joint cavity which gives the bones room to move. The joint space between two bones is enclosed by a capsule that is flexible and strong enough to protect the joint against dislocation. The inner lining of this capsule, called the synovium, produces a thick fluid that lubricates and nourishes the joint. In many forms of arthritis, the synovium becomes inflamed & thickened producing extra fluid which contains inflammatory cells. The inflamed synovium and fluid can damage the cartilage and underlying bone.
