What Is Ultrasound Therapy?

Ultrasound is a deep heating modality (treatment) that is most effective in heating your deep joint tissues. It is extremely helpful in improving the distensibility of connective tissue, which facilitates stretching. Ultrasound therapy uses high-frequency sound waves which produces a deep heat that reduces pain in the affected tissues. The therapy is known to help stimulate healing without irritation. It can also speed metabolism, improve circulation, break and soften scar tissue, reduce chronic inflammation, reduce swelling, reduce nerve root irritation, and enhance your body's natural healing process.
