Subluxations

Subluxations are probably the most common conditions treated by Chiropractors today. Subluxations happen when vertebrae are out of alignment leading to a number of different health problems if left untreated. The vertebrae protect your spinal cord which is the main transmitter of messages from your brain to the rest of your body. Subluxations disrupt the flow of those messages by obstructing the nerves’ ability to effectively transmit messages. When the brain is not permitted to communicate effectively with the rest of the body, it can lead to less than optimal organ function which, in turn, can lead to an overall less healthy body. Subluxations can be caused by a number of different events you do on a regular basis and may not even be aware that they are harmful to your body. Poor posture or ergonomics, poor diet and drug or alcohol use can all contribute to less than optimal spinal health.

Subluxations can also be caused by physical injury including auto, work or sports related injuries. Symptoms of subluxations come in many different forms including, neck or back pain, headaches, back spasms, joint pain, numbness in the arms or legs, fatigue or a general feeling of poor health. If you have any of these symptoms we would encourage you to come in and see us. Please contact our office today for a consultation.
